My inspiration comes primarily from the colour and texture of the materials I use, the rich 18ct gold, the gem stones, emerald, ruby, sapphire, all the many colours of tourmaline, aquamarine and often a small diamond bead to add a glint and sparkle to the pieces.I like to mix many of these stones with each other, creating a harmonious fusion of colour. I also use fresh water pearls, some just a simple drop or a baroque pearl just clearing the ear, and of course mixed with gem stones, they look wonderful.
Mediterranean coral, turquoise from New Mexico is used for earrings and necklaces, spectacular colours which are complemented by the gold. Cool rock crystal, citrine, yellow and green beryl as simple chunk earrings or cascading strands from the ear.
Each piece is hallmarked by the Goldsmiths Assay Office in London with the gold carat and my makers mark TH.
